Dear Dave, It is now one year since the death of Mark. Much has happened in the interim, and Rachel barbour has no doubt by now informed you of the National Film Board release of the video related to and dedicated to Mark. I was deeply moved by the responses from your students, and recently by the account from Scott Zobrist relating the rescue of his downed comrade in Bosnia. I don't know if you agree or are able, but I would like at this time for you to consider releasing the following condensed text relating to my son onto the list. It is a very condensed version of some of Marks letters and my reflections from the book, which is still unpublished but "in the mill". I put the Nat. Film Board address at the end, as there is a very attractive offer by them for anyone who is interested in studying the responses from front line soldiers without any restrictive military edicts. The camera crew was given free rein and came up with a superb documentary.
